Trail Dog

Yesterday was Ellie's first trail ride with the horses. She did better than expected, especially since I doubt she has ever seen a horse before the day I got her. We went for about 2 1/2 hours in the desert out by our house. She is afraid to get too far away from us, thinking we might leave her out there I assume. She tried to convince me to pick her up a few times but I knew she had the energy to make it on her own. She just trotted along with the other dogs like she was born to be a trail dog. I did learn a valuable lesson, if she is going to be outside she will need to wear sunblock.
